Announcing the Victor St. John’s Senior Open taking place at Leary’s Brook Junior High on the 26th of November, 2022.

All Provincial Training Program Juniors and Canada Games Squad members are expected to participate.

Other juniors may enter if recommended by their coach.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS: Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11:59 pm

Note: Feather shuttles are to be used. Players are responsible to have their own shuttles. Coaches should ensure their players have access to shuttles which have been appropriately humidified. A limited number of shuttles will be for sale at a cost of 3 for $10.

Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the word, a shuttle can reach speeds in excess of 490 km/hr

Badminton is a highly aerobic sport which can be played throughout one's lifetime.

In a typical two-game match, a player can run approximately one mile.

There are two types of shuttles: plastic and feather which are made with goose feathers. A feather shuttle has 16 feathers and weighs between 4.74 and 5.50 grams.
