ELIGIBILITY
Adults and juniors age 16 and over. Juniors under 16 may be accepted with the recommendation of a coach and approval by the Badminton NL Board. The competition is open to all athletes who are members in good standing with Badminton NL. Participants must have an active BNL membership. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada.

EVENTS
Events: Advanced Men’s Singles, Advanced Women’s Singles, Advanced Men’s Doubles, Advanced Women’s Doubles.
Intermediate Men’s Singles, Intermediate Women’s Singles, Intermediate Men’s Doubles, Intermediate Women’s Doubles. There will be only one category for Mixed Doubles.

FORMAT
All events will use a round robin format unless the number of entries make this impractical. At the discretion of BNL and/or the Tournament Director a different format may be used and/or events may be combined if necessary. The competition will be conducted under the official rules of Badminton Canada and BWF. Players must wear appropriate t-shirt, shorts, and indoor sneakers. No hats or caps, but headbands are permitted.

MEDALS/PRIZES
Gold, silver and bronze will be awarded for each event played.

SHUTTLES
Players are to provide their own feather shuttles or purchase them on site for $2.50 each. If both teams or opponents agree, nylon shuttles may be used.

FEES
Membership Fee: Must have an current Badminton NL Membership, either Recreational, Provincial or National

Entry Fee: 1 event-$15.00; 2 events-$20.00; 3 events-$25.00
All entry fees are payable online through the Tournament Software link only.
Entry fees are payable through Paypal through an account or a guest.
Entries without payment are not valid and will not be accepted.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Registration Deadlline is February 3, 2018

WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Withdrawal deadline is February 3, 2018
Withdrawals after the withdrawal deadline and tournament no-shows will not be eligible for a refund on the entry fee. Withdrawals received prior to the withdrawal deadline will receive a full refund of their entry which will be issued when the tournament has been completed.
