RBC Training Ground

We wanted to invite you to a new event called RBC Training Ground where you can put your athletic abilities to the test to support you in achieving your athletic dreams.
RBC Training Ground will host 4 athlete identification camps from February 20th to March 12th, in 4 cities across Canada. Attached you will find all the details for the event in Halifax. You can find the 3 additional dates and locations on the event website .
Athletes selected to attend will compete in the following exercises:
• POWER – vertical jump, standing jump, standing triple jump
• SPEED – 40m running sprint, 6 second bike sprint
• STRENGTH -1 upper body push, 1 upper body pull, 1 leg press, medicine ball throw
• ENDURANCE – Arm/leg bike
One top performer at each RBC Training Ground will get the ultimate sport experience – a trip to the Rio 2016 Olympic Summer Games. In order to participate in the contest component of the event you will need to meet all contest eligibility criteria that are laid out in the contest rules and regulations.
Based on your performance results at the RBC Training Ground event, you may be invited to go through additional sport specific testing and skill assessments. Selected athletes may then be invited to join an NSO sport specific RBC Next Generation Program. This program will provide funding through the selected NSO to support you in your training and development.
RBC Training Ground participants attending may be showcased and featured CBC/Radio – Canada network and RBC Training Ground website.
