NOTE THAT THIS IS A JUNIOR-ONLY TOURNAMENT WITH NO ADULT DIVISIONS

Registration is now open for the above tournament to be held at Copper Ridge Academy in Baie Verte.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: SATURDAY, MARCH 7th AT 23:59

Note that players must hold Badminton NL membership prior to attempting to register for the tournament. Holders of a Regional Membership, who have already played one tournament in the current season, please note that an upgrade to Provincial membership is required at an additional $15.

Badminton is the second most popular sport in the world, second only to soccer.

Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the word, a shuttle can reach speeds in excess of 490 km/hr

Badminton is a highly aerobic sport which can be played throughout one's lifetime.

In a typical two-game match, a player can run approximately one mile.

There are two types of shuttles: plastic and feather which are made with goose feathers. A feather shuttle has 16 feathers and weighs between 4.74 and 5.50 grams.
